It´s been a while since I sat in front of my computer to write a blog. Since we are on the road we did like 2.600 km in 1 month. We´ve visited Necochea, Claromecó, Monte Hermoso, Medanos, Rio Colorado, Las Grutas, Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman, Dolavon, Dique Florentino Ameghino, Camarones and Comodoro.

It´s been a while since our last blog entry. So here´s a quick update what has happened so far. We are still in Mar del Plata, since everything is taking a bit longer as we´ve thought in the beginning. The good thing about that, we do have more time to spend with family and friends from Bauti. ;) What happened with Simba so far...

How difficult it might be to purchase a 10 L plastic tank in a city with > 600.000 citizens? I didn´t believe it, before we´ve experienced it ourselves...

As you might know our R4 Simba is with the specialist for gearboxes at the moment, since we noticed a strange noise and couldn´t go further last week. So we ran from one mechanic to the other. Apart all that we were enjoying the time with the family and to get to know the surroundings of Mar del Plata...

So the first week went by really quickly. We had some family get togethers. Drank some Mate. Did some walks around the neighborhood. Went to Balcarce to visit some relatives there and most importantly went there to pick up our R4 Simba.

Yesterday we were travelling from Frankfurt to Buenos Aires. With us, our 8 year old former shelter dog Rocky. As you may imagine we were pretty nervous about that part, since he is too big to fly with us in the cabine...

When we decided to live our dream, we still had one year to prepare. How could we save most money? What do we have to organize beforehand? Which equipment do we take with us and what are we still missing? 
We were going over our budget over and over again.. until we decided to save as much as possible the last 3 months before departure. - And there it was - no way around quitting our beautiful apartment at Mondsee / Upper Austria and changing it to "living in our van".
